Hey guys. New to the forum not a member yet... Just thought I would share... I just successfully installed vance and hines short shots onto my 2008 honda shadow vt400c. The exhaust I purchased was used and came off a 2010 vt750s. It bolted up perfect with no modifications whatsoever! Sounds like a bike now and engine runs fine! I used new exhaust gaskets from my local honda dealer to suit vt750. I just needed to use the CO2 Eliminators in place of the original oxygen sensors that was on the stock exhaust. I didnt have any at the time so I made some up using 330 ohm 1W resistors across the heater element wires for each O2 sensor. This stopped my engine light from flashing. I could however start the bike without the sensors but I assume the mapping will be out from what I have read being the fuel injected engine so I didnt ride it until I had the resistors in place. Cheers all!
Now to find out if I can somehow bolt up a larger front wheel as I have the fat 17 and want to go a 19 or possible 21 from the spirit model?
