So looking forward to coming down to catch up with the Metro Mob again. My weather forecast for Yarra Glen says 22 and cloudy, which is even better weather for Bocce. It was a wee bit hot last year. Five days and counting.

Once again, a great day spent with great friends. Big thanks go to George and Helen, and also to chef Saddo and Ross, not forgetting Tony. Many thanks to all for another good year, wishing everybody a Safe and Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

What a great day for our SRA Vic Christmas BBQ meet & greet. Although the weather started a bit cool and overcast, it got better as the day got on. The day started with a few riders turning up but... As the day progressed more and more of our SRA family arrived. [ URL=http://s160.photobucket.com/user/skylines3000/media/2016%20SRA%20xmas%20bbq/DSCN0481_zpsoeeisr4g.jpg.html] [/URL] While some chatted, the chefs of the day Saddo and Tony ( Placid) were planning their culinary strategies. Whereas others took in a game of Frisbee. The menu for the day was seafood skewers with prawns, calamari, a wedge of peach and a wedge of nectarine marinated in sweet chilli, ginger, coriander and garlic. Yum! Then there were the traditional snags, and chicken marinated in a mild Portugese Peri Peri sauce and the most tender scotch fillet steak. Yum! For dessert Saddo and Ros prepared a lovely assortment of fresh fruits, Christmas cakes and cream and custard and an assortment of Christmas lollies, chocolates and flavored popcorn. Yum! r What would you do after a wonderful lunch. Bocce!!. Yes the Bocce tournament was on. Oh and a big thank you to Matt who spent months polishing his balls. Yes, they were very smooth and shiny. Just perfect to play with! Nice arm action there Michael! But wait, excitement was stirring, children were in joy! Yes Saddo Claus arrived. Hmmm. Nice foot wear there Santa. Gifts were handed to all the children. [/URL
and then it was time for some group photo What a great day was had by all. [/URL
Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a special day. Also a big hi and thanks to Lucille and Pam who came down from NSW to join and be part of our Christmas day.
