Hey guys, new to forum My name is Andrew I'm from Rockhampton in QLD. pic of bike imgur.com/a/mEfc92000 Honda Shadow VT400 A few things I want to know is best insurance guys? With looking for insurance I find a lot of insurance companies don't show my year and model in there list. When looking a buying parts/accessories what to look for? Looking at a few posts here and there the VT400 motor is a 750 but sleeved or not? If it is the same motor is it possible to get the sleeve removed? If none of that is true then is taking the 400 engine out and putting a 750 as simple as that ?

Hi and welcome Andrew .Rocky ,great place Rocky ,never had s chance to stay for too long . Ok your bike is an ACE model mate and yes the engine is Ment to be sleeved .The later model Aero 400 is so I presume those are .The 400 apparently us 10kg heavier than the 750 . Have been through the later question of taken out the sleeves but not sure on cranks and such iff they are the same specs ,I think substituting a whole engine may be less complicated but I'm no mechanic .To my knowledge no one had as yet done either mods . Hope to catch up one day .Have a few Riders that way ,scattered around π Cheers Ray

Hey thanks Spinal, sounds like something I will look into at the end of this year for an upgrade. But I am very impressed on the way the made the shadows and how much power these things have for the size and motor in them.
