Well Melbourne turned out a great day for us today. Plenty of sunshine and blue skies. Perfect for a day of riding. Pino, Peter and I started from Port Melbourne. We learnt later that we had left only a few minutes before Sim arrived at the start point. We enjoyed a lovely ride along Beaconsfield Parade which runs along the beach. Some wonderful scenery for sure. We then rode through St Kilda, along Beach Road and an hour of blissful riding. We arrived at Frankston where Michael was waiting for us. On the other side of Frankston we found Danny waiting for us and then Sim pulled up. We then rode on and into the Mornington township. The cafe's lining the street were full to the brim with people enjoying the sunshine with their meals and drinks. We then turned left into the Esplanade and rode the magnificent road all the way to Dromana. The scenery of the blue flat oceans with families enjoying the beach, boats and water skiers was just awesome. What a great road to ride. From Rosebud we turned into the Boneo Road and traveled inland through Merricks, Flinders, Bittern and Balnarring before finally arriving at Hastings. Waiting there to greet us were Trish and Ray Doel from Queensland, Helen, Frank, Brenda (Annastasia), Kerry and her husband and their three friends who rode there bikes there. After a couple of refreshing drinks and saying hello to all our friends it was time to go inside and eat. It was great to then sit around and chat (and sell some raffle tickets) and before we knew it, it was 3.30pm and time to head home. We could not ask for a better day. Plenty of Sunshine, great roads, great food and a great bunch of friends.

I forgot to mention. In Hastings, I and others left our bikes parked in the hot baking sun. When we left, after a couple of kilometres down the road my bum was burning on the hot leather seat. We continued on, but I was up and down, moving sideways doing what ever I could to relieve the burning sensation on my butt. So end result by the time I got home...well I had a very well done rump!!!
