Well what an awesome weekend!
From all the positive feedback, i believe all our riders thoroughly enjoyed their mini break at the Kondari Resort last weekend..
First up a few of the southern riders met up at the NB BP Caboolture, the temperature was low but our spirits were high!
Soon they were off and made their way north to the next meeting point.
Along the way we were greeted with some 'Interesting' dirt roads..
One of which was just shy of 8km long..
With dust, corrugated roads, shale and steep slopes; it certainly made the ride the more interesting..
(Pic's from Google Earth - it just doesn't show the severity of the roads surface & bends)
Though it was a challenge at times, we all came out the other side exhilarated yet relieved..
You guys did so well! It was great watching you all in my mirrors as we slowly made our way through the winding bends of the ranges.
Much like life, you can never assume what the road is like a head. Though it can be beautiful at times, it can also fast become treacherous.
But with great friends by your side, even if your going at snails pace. You will come out the other side Strong.....and alive! ha ha!
Proud of you SRA..
Soon we meet up with the far-northern crew at a scheduled stop in Gympie.
Once everyone had said their hello's & fueled up, we set off to our lunch venue at
The Aussie Hotel.
It certainly wasn't hard to find our table...... LOL
We met up with some other riders and as per usual the $10 all you can eat buffet was awesome!!
Just what we needed after a long journey.
One of our riders even had a laugh with some of the littler locals..
(I'm not sure who had more fun?)
With full bellies we were soon ready to set off to our next stop, our Accommodation...
We soon arrived and were greeted with cheerful & friendly staff. We were even given a great spot to park our bikes.
(Undercover and just outside our back doors)
Once everyone had unloaded, we all headed to the bistro with a view...
All pitched in to set up for the evenings shenanigans...
The good company & great views certainly made our drinks taste the sweeter...
Some of the locals...
100's of turtles and very well fed eel's!!
(We had to double check Turtle soup wasn't on the menu! ha ha!)
(certainly created a giggle)
Soon it was time for dinner...
(13x SRA members)
The food was fantastic!
We even surprised one of our special riders with an early birthday cake!
Happy Birthday Spinal! You are very much loved and appreciated!
The staff (Kirsty-Lee in particular) went above the call of duty and really made our night awesome!
Lots of laughs & merriment was had by all.
The next morning we were greeted with another beautiful day...
But soon enough it was time to pack up & head off to find some breakfast.
We found a busy little cafe that sat across from the ocean.
Bikers are in town...
The cue went out the door!
Everyone was laughing & had a great feed!
It was obvious some of our riders were looking forward to their cuppa!
After our feed, we decided to go for a walk across the road to take in the ocean views..
Heaps of fish!
We found some interesting things along the way...
Before we knew it, it was time to head home.
It was certainly great to see that everyone had a great time, I for one am looking forward to the next weekender.
Thank you to all that helped make this trip possible.
We hope we can have more riders come along to the next one.
Until our next adventure,
Ride Safe!
