Hi SRA crew..
Just posting an update on our Rabs. (Had a brief chat with him this evening)
As you are aware he has been having some concerns regarding his heart. Rabs is home at the moment but will be returning to hospital in the next few days to have a device fitted.
If I can ask our SRA family to please keep him in your thoughts & be patient with his delay in correspondence as he is needing to step back from social media for an unknown duration.
How ever i do encourage you all to keep sharing words of encouragement & support which will keep his spirits up.
I will endeavor to keep you all informed on his progress during this challenging time.
We are all here for you Rabs! Until we ride again, rest up & take care bud..

Hey Troops!
Had a brief chat with our Rab's this morning.
He is doing really well and has returned to work. The scheduled Pacemaker has now been put off for a few more weeks.
This is AWESOME news!!
The wonderful encouragement from you all has been of great help to Rab's especially during this challenging time.
So guys keep up that awesome SRA love!!
Rab's stay strong & positive, We are looking forward to having you riding with us once again... (but in the mean time take it easy!)

Just an update on our Rab's. Rab's has recently had some good news regarding his health, but is still in the queue for a pacemaker. (Date is yet to be ascertained)
However he has continued to keep working & keep busy by riding his trike & accomplishing home projects.
Keep positive Rab's, you have a lot of people here that are thinking of you and would like to help where they can.
Keep us posted & many of us hope to see you at the next M&G.
Take care bud!

Mate I had a ICD done 6 years ago then replaced last year because the battery was coming to an end. First time was on a Thursday and I was watching my son play footy on the Saturday, Just take your time and don't over do things. Second time was easier as they just unplugged the device and plugged in a new one using the original leads. Every 3mths I go in for a check up which takes 10mins, they connect my ICD to their laptop via wi-fi. There are a few thing your not supposed to do or modify but the rest is back to normal. Best of luck, I'm here if you have any questions.
