Does anyone use this type of quick release saddlebag brackets? They claim you can lock on or remove a bag in seconds. Looks as if you could. They are expensive at $288, but are they any good? If I got good reports, I'd be willing to try them. Thanks in advance.

yes i have them on my vt750c4 aero, only thing is i had to make up spaces of about 10ml for the rear as the fender rail curves in.when i bought mine about 5 years ago i emailed the manufacture about this prob with the aero models and they were going to look into it, don't know if they made the rear spaces longer or not.
cheers,
spinal.

Hey Spinal. I ordered those brackets and the company came back to me. They say the aero has a special wider bracket, $60 dearer, making it $348 for the pair. They sent this photo letting me know that I wouldn't need to move the blinkers. I reckon it makes the bike look like the south end of a north bound elephant. I thought about it for a fair while and kept looking at the photo. The company were happy to cancel the order if I wanted to, so I did. I've now ordered and received these Bibble Bar brackets for $235 delivered. I know I'll have to move the blinkers, but it'll keep the bags in close to the bike. I can see that I will need a 10mm packer behind the rear keeper. I'm a lot happier with this decision.

Wow the price of them have gone up a lot since i got mine plus the exchange rate was in my favour at the time i bought them.i forgot to tell you Bibble Bar had them [my bad] and they slide so can adj for any size bag plus made out of marine polished steel.10ml was just a guess can't remember the exact size, what i did was packed it with washers until the bracket slipped on and off with ease then measured the length of washers packed together then cut a round piece of steel to that length and drilled a hole down the centre.
cheers,
spinal.

Yeah, I intended to do a similar thing to set them up. The photo doesn't do the brackets justice. They are extremely well made and look good. I'll wait 'til I have them on before ordering bags. I'll have a much better idea of what I can fit then. Probably go with Viking bags. Thanks for your input, Spinal. Cheers Tony
