I've found the mod on how to remove the welded risers and install after market ones. I've heard that it is possible to shorten the stock handlbars by about 55mm on each end with enough room for controls Apparently there is an anti-vibration bar/material internally.
Does anyone know about this? Has anyone tried it? Results?
Thanks

Maybe get a set of bars from a wrecker that you can experiment with? Good luck

I did this with a set of low western bars I fitted to my VT1100aero.
Use a whiteboard marker (or even tape) and mark where you grips and controls finish up and then remove them.
Measure distance from end of bars to the tape/texta mark.
Trim the bars down to leave a minimum of your measured distance.
But note that if your switch blocks end up too close to a bend in the bar they will not fit correctly as the tube flares and goes out of round in this area.
Best of luck with it
Pete
