Hi Paul. It would be great if you came on Saturday night, but there is so much wildlife on the roads at dusk and especially around the Grampians area at night. I would hate if anything happened to you. From where you are, it would probably be a little over a 3 hour trip. It's your choice but if you came on Sunday morning, we will wait for you for breakfast. The reality is that there might be some sore heads getting out of bed a bit late, maybe..not sure just saying it's possible. Anyway whatever you decide, we look forward to your getting there.

What a great weekend with lots of laughs. Shane, Steve, Saddo, Ros, Michael, Helen and I met up at Rockbank and then rode to Beaufort where we caught up with Phil and Sonia for lunch. Because of a serious truck roll over on the Western Highway just out of Beaufort we had to do a detour on a 3-4 kilometre dirt road. But we were soon back on the road. We stopped at an outback pub for a refreshment. After a cold drink and a bit of a stretch we rode into the Grampians township of Halls Gap and we were soon checking into Gariwerd Motel where we were staying for the night. It was time to kick back and have a few drinks, cheese and biscuits and other nibbles. We did cop a bit of a downpour, but it only lasted a few minutes and did not dampen our spirits. Saddo was in charge of the BBQ with help from Phil. We enjoyed a feast of eye fillet steak, Portuguese marinated chicken, slow cooked pork ribs, sausages, salads etc. We had a visit from some of the local wild life. Next morning we enjoyed a leisurely buffet breakfast at the motel, including cereals, eggs, bacon, toast, and drinks. After packing we rode around the Grampians area enjoying the magnificent scenery and wonderful rock formations of the mountains. We rode into Dunkeld, through Skipton and then into Ballarat where we stopped for lunch. After lunch we headed our different ways to home. Although the clouds were dark and threatened to rain, we all made it safely home and dry. Thank you everyone for making it such a great weekend and with lots of laughs.
