Hi everyone, I'm a new rider (have been off bikes for so long, it's best I classify myself as new). Picked up my VT400 today, 2009 model with only 730km on the clock. Have been riding it all day Steve

G,Day mate ,welcome to the fold. Lovely bikes the 400,s .Quite a few here now so plenty of people should be able to give you some advice iff needed. They are complimentary to the 750,s so most parts are interchangable, mufflers as well . Throw a pic up of the beast ,love pics. Where do you hale from mate. Check out your states rides that are in the calendar. Cheers Ray,Trish Gympie QLD

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for the wonderful welcome. I'm based in South Melbourne, so will do a fair bit of city riding, which seems to suit the VT400, although I rode her to the office today (I work out at Mulgrave) and she handled beautifully on the freeway at 100km hr. I'm quite a small bloke, 5'7" and about 65kg, so my weight on the bike being a limiting factor, means there is plenty of power for me OK - gonna check out how to post a pic of my beautiful new lady - hang five...

Question: Where is the best place to get a backrest (sissy bar I think they're called)?

FOr all those who got confused by comment "my weight being a limiting factor", I meant, my weight not being a factor!
