Hey to all, found this forum through the facebook page, good to see an enthusiastic group of fellow shadow riders out there. By way of an introduction I'd like to post a link to a blog my wife and I kept on our 5 week honeymoon from Melbourne to Alice Springs and back on our shadow 750 purchased just for the trip. If anybody wants to know (as if you didn't know already) how unstoppable a shadow is, 5 weeks fully loaded with two people and all their camping gear (we camped the whole way(except for Alice Springs, and a couple of other places, sometimes you just have to have a proper sleep)) and it started and ran like clockwork the whole way. Plenty of photos for anybody who might be contemplating a similar trip and want to know just how much crap you can strap to it. Didn't even have to change the suspension, just jacked up the preload adjustment with my hands, didn't even need any tools! Anyway, maybe check it out if you feel inclined, it's too long a story for here really: motormoon.blogspot.com.au/ Any questions anybody has about the bike or our experiences touring it fully loaded at 130kmh up the guts of Australia, feel free to ask. cheers, Jezz

Hi Jezza and welcome, I've had a bit of a peek at your blog, I might have to find a raining night and hot cuppa and sit down for a proper session to finish it, but it looks like fun!! Shame to see you selling Norman, but I hope you find a good home for him soon

Hi And welcome, I hope you are simply swapping a tired shadow for a new one. might be a good reason for an overseas trip in a couple of years for our second annual meet up !

Read the blogs mate and what a lovely journey you guys appeared to of had. Would love to be able to do something simular with my good lady but alas her knees aren,t up to any riding now for a while. Sure was some exceptional country you travelled upon . Sad to see that your selling the bike it must be a hard thing to do . Seeing as it is good on fuel as you say you should keep it . I use mine for daily commute every day and love it. Cheers Ray

Just finished your blog Jezza, what an adventure. I honestly think you are both so brave. Specially your lovely wife, there's no way I would have taken on an adventure like that with absolutely no previous experience .. well done both of you!!!
