well i did this ride yesterday on a loan vt250 as mine still has no front axle. Only rode for half an hour at a time 4 times but i can tell you i will not be converting to a road bike in my lifetime. How anyone can ride those things for more than half an hour is beyond me. Probably the reason cruisers were designed in the first place. Whilst i was eternally grateful to have use of the bike having only about 3 square inches of flesh in contact with the bike is not my cup of tea. being in a scrunched up position like i was constipated didnt help either... no wonder road bike riders are all skinny, the amount of musculature required to keep the things upright and in a straight line is almost immeasurable... Give me back my cruiser !!
