2 options, leave it with a pipe connected long enough to reach from the nipple (open)to higher than the m/cyl,or fill same pipe with b/fluid and blow it in reverse, just needs patience

G day Fred what have you tried so far ? The basic is to attach a hose to the bleeder nipple then stick the other end in a jar or bottle. Pump the lever a few times then while holding the lever down open the nipple and while the lever is fully depressed close the nipple again. make sure you don't pump the lever while the bleeder is open as it will let air draw back into the system. Do this a few times without letting the master cylinder get empty and it should start to improve. once the the lever feels good remove the hose and make sure the master cylinder is full, and clean any brake fluid of paint work straight away as it will stuff up your paint work if left on to long.
Other wise you can try gravity feed by filling the master cylinder then opening the bleeder and let it drain , Make sure the master cylinder doesn't get empty, once it been threw about a full master cylinders worth of fluid do up the bleeder and see how it feels. this will take some time. Hope this helps
