Arrived in Broome today,3,940 kms,had a bit of a heatwave, most days around the 45-47*,and 96% humidity, thanks to the cyclone,no big dramas which is just how I like it,on a public puter so no pics, need to wait until I'm home,as I stiil don't know where we'll manage to get in the time

Glad you're having a good trip Moe , any chance you could post your route as I'm thinking of heading up there later in the year to visit some mates and want to do some side tracks , which obviously you've been doing as you seem to have covered 1500km's more than the straight trip from Perth to Broome... I'm impressed. Trog

The route was just calling in at every port from Geraldton to Broome, adds a lot of k's,but was the reason for going. Exmouth to Nanaturra was longest leg,297kms,dont rely on google earth mileages, were as much as 20 kms out,and the distance between Sandfire and Broome is 294,but used 1.5 ltrs more fuel coming south than going,as there was a headwind. I used the extra 2 ltrs I carried and needed my sons 1.5 ltrs as well, the strom was doing 350+ on a tankful, the shadow only managed a bit over 260.

yes i know about the crap range of our tanks Moe.... mine with trailer and windscreen ( i think the later does most of the mileage damage ) was around 210k, althou' there there was one occasion I run out of fuel and need to use one of my jerry cans at 193k due to bad winds...
louie.
