Rightio .. yeah I been slack .. been working heaps and cant be bothered editing photos so I took a while to get some pics up from the day .. but it has finally happened and here they is
Ray the seat caused a bit of back pain with a longer ride so I've taken it back to my man and he's doing a bigger job on it, and customising it for me too .. will be back on the bike next week I hope and hopefully will be more comfy. The best bit was that I backed the bike on a full on gravel car park and didn't even look like losing my balance so I know being just that inch lower is going to fix those problems .. just not sure if it will be a bit higher when he finishes my remodelling .. we'll see.
So ,, We went to Mudgee (not Nudgee) on the Sunday and it was the warmest day for this time of the year in recorded memory .. so wearing the winter gloves wasn't such a great idea ...
Ya have to go along the highway thru Guerie towards Wellington to get there from here and along that road I have always loved the view you get just as you come over a rise and down a long sweeping bend .. this is it, finally caught on the GoPro .. though still doesn't do it full justice, it always takes my breath away when that view hits me while I'm on the bike.
Terry on one of the back roads ...
There's a bit of everything along the way .. fields and forests.
I lost Cray at one stage and had to ride the little twistie bit of road on me own .. have to admit I was a touch scared and I slowed down .. and the road was full of tar snakes and grooves that just took me where ever they wanted ... eeek
We made it to Mudge alright though and found the Cheese Factory ... even with my directions ;D
It's a lovely place to sit outside and have a great meal .. they sell their own cheese too and I even remembered to pack a cooler bag with an ice brick so we could bring some home.
Yep Autumn colors were out .. but I didn't really get a good enough pic to put into the comp
That's the only pic I got of the bikes that worked.
We headed home after lunch..
Couple of pics going down the main street..
It's a pretty area.
It's east of Dubbo right .. we were headed west to get home right .. but it's not late, bout 3pm or so .. maybe 3:30 .. so wots with the sun in our faces!?!?
Well we rode into that all the way home ...
It made some great pictures tho ...
I thought I was going to stop and get a pic here for the comp .. but by this time I just wanted to get home while we could still vaguely see an outline of the road.
That construction on the sides of the road is a train bridge they started to build some years ago when they thought they would put in a line from east to west .. they decided not to do it and the building stopped .. just leaving these brick things on the side of hte road. It would have made a great photo from the other side next to the Poplars .. maybe next time.
We stopped at a place called Goolma along the way to see if we could find Cray's sunnies in his backpack .. they were found at home on the coffee table an hour later ;D
Love this pub tho .. tis the only thing in town ...
Waiting for ya woman to take pics ...
And that's it .. the GoPro died not long after that .. probably cause I left it on while we were stopped in Goolma. There wasn't much more to see anyways .. just lots more sun, we even picked up another bike behind us who was probably having the same trouble as Cray seeing into the sun, I at least had my tinted visor but even that didn't block it completely.
