Hi all,
I've emailed all the Coordinators & Rusty so now it's time to tell the lovely folks here on the forum...
After a great deal of thinking and consideration I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that I'll be unable to continue in my capacity as Tas Coordinator.
My sailboat restoration is simply taking up too much of my spare time and that combined with working every second weekend I've simply no time to get out riding or supporting my charity group. I've also now backed my charity work down from every 2nd month to twice a year. I'm more than happy to stay on in the association, to keep up on trying to get new members on board and I'm looking forward to Victorian AGM in 2014 however, I've come to the conclusion that I'm unable to devote the required time to continue vigorously promoting the SRA hence, I foresee my position as Tas coordinator lessening rather than increase or even stabilising.
I'll stay on a Tas Coordinator until a Tas member steps up or until Vic AGM 2014 whichever happens first although, until then my involvement will still be be severely limited.
I have decided to take a FULL on route and completely gut the rigging and electrics and completely re-rigg and rewire the entire sail boat. My initial plans were to tidy up the electrics, add a few safety items (EPIRB, New VHF radio, solar panel and dual battery system etc) however, on inspection I was not happy with the current state of the sailboats rigging and electrical wiring hence, I decided to undertake a complete restoration.
;DThanks for the wonderful friendships, Dubbo was simply fantastic and I'm glad I rode with the Vic boys, we had a superb time and they looked after me on my P plates and I'm glad to have ridden with the members in Dubbo... I went for a ride when I got back from Dubbo and it's amazing just how 2200km can boost ones riding confidence, my bike has never felt better
Oh.... and the stock seat is back on , the Jack Daniels seat is long sold and to be truthful.... The stock seat has never felt better ;D. The saddle bags are now firmly secured and the saddlebag locks have been strengthened and tested on a bumpy road with a lod in them.... all in all things are fantastic... it;s just that I've not got the time to devote to the SRA let alone ride.
Kindest regards & Cheers,
When I do get a chance to ride I'll make sure I still take my contour roam adventure HD Camera and post videos.
Pete :-)
