Well where to start. Name is Bradleye, but alot call me "BDR" as they never seem to remember my name. Middle aged male (15 at heart and in the head). I am totally new to the biking life. 1st and last time I rode was as a wee lad years ago. Not an auspicious occasion. Found only rock on Kurnell Beach. 3 broken bones, exhaust burn, lump of rock embedded in thigh and a mother threatening to dis-own me if I ever looked at a bike again. Well its 30+years later and time for my mid-life crisis. So, now I have my L's, a brand new VT400 cruiser, and a mother who is still threatening to dis-own me. Guess I am still her little soldier, bless her over protective heart. As I am interested in a few minor changes to my new steed, I came across Shadow riders while checking the net. What a nice surprise to find such a community. Will be checking out and joining in threads as I go. Hoping to gain more experience and friends by joining this group of like minded Shadow enthusiasts. I guess that's all I can think to say at this time. So laters all and will see you in the forums.

Hi BDRgonzo, Welcome to Shadowland. Good Bunch here. It's not a midlife crises it's a awakening, learning to have some fun again. You'll find that when you return home after a big day riding you will feel 25 years younger. Welcome again, ride safe. Best Greyshadow

Hi all.
Well I am from the Parramatta area in Sydney. Bike is still stock so pics are a little predicable at this time, as I am sure you have all seen one off the floor. It will change over time to what I am after and I will certainly share pics of my new love <looks over shoulder to ensure wife is not looking>.
I am actually awaiting my 1st piece to change, As I don't plan on having anyone on the back, the pillow seat will go and a new chrome rack to go on. This adds a lil more chrome and will protect the fender. Should look ok for a start to my new bike.
More will occur as I go and have the funds. Pipes will be next. A collegue made a comment about more noise means more presence on the road and the silly car buggers have less excuse to miss that I am about. Oh and I like to wake up the neighborhood. Only fair I am a shift worker and they don't stay quiet during the day when I am sleeping.

G'Day BDR,
As all before have said great bunch of people. No questions to stupid to be asked and no answer to stupid to be given. And even though it may be early start planning for the Annual General Meeting in March 14 to be held in Bright, Victoria . As all will tell you we had a great time at our last AGM in Dubbo. The AGM thread has all the details.
Cheers
