Hi Guys, I have not long joined and just thought i would introduce myself. The names Ron Harrison or Harro. I live in Blackalls Park NSW. I have just bought a 2004 Honda Shadow VT750. I'm a late starter as i am 63 and i am on "P"s which creates a problem as i cant legally ride it until May 3rd when i get my full license. I'm counting the days!... Also does anyone know where i can get a set of pillion floorboards to fit this bike as the other half doesn"t like the pegs and i"ll probably get boards for the front too later on!........Thanks! Cheers. Harro

Hi Harro Welcome to the group. I grew up around your area .. Toronto .. but that was a few years ago now There's a few members in Newcastle and the lake areas now so you should be able to pick up a ride or two once you can legally ride your new baby ... It would drive me crazy having to wait I'm pretty sure you shouldn't find it to hard to get a set of boards for her, try eBay and cruiser customizing .. they would be my first stops. There's a thread here with a bunch of places to look for bits for your bike. I'll find it when I get the computer on later and link it if someone else hasn't by then.

Hey Harro, good to have you on board, 63 years old and a cockroach so you are most likely old enough to remember the last time you guys won a state of origin. Seriously how does your licence system work down there up here if you have a open car licence you get an open restricted bike licence for 12 months then you can up grade to an unrestricted licence. Cheers Azza

Thankfully due to Alzheimers, I still remember the game and series like it was yesterday. Now if I could only remember what I was doing yesterday.

Cheers Azza Thanks for the welcome Azza, Licencing is the same down here, i've done 9 months on "P"s and i can upgrade to a full licence after 12 months. Can't wait!.....Yeh you right i can remember the last time we won a state of origin although its a bit hazy! Just remember you can keep cockroaches down for awhile but you cant get rid of em altogether!....... Cheers. Harro
