Thank you lads, much appreciated. I went into the dealer today to do a bit of a reccy, as I knew the principal was out for the day. They have a new VT400 in black (I wanted black) listed at $9,990 ride away. Is that a decent price, or should I haggle them down some? Can't see too many 2013 or 2014 models new around with an actual price sticker on them. Mate you should have a look at a 2nd hand VT400, you can pick them up from $6500. Try and get one that's got loud pipe and extra's already fitted. Then save your coin for a bigger bike once your restrictions are over. Check out Bikesales

Shane, I hear what you are saying and agree. Tinsy winsy problem. I already put a deposit and agreed to buy a 2014 plated VT400 this morning. A lovely black beauty. 0 Klms on the clock. Got a good deal on my trade in which I couldn't ignore. About $2k better than I had been getting elsewhere. It was the dealer that I bought the scooter through, and they just happened to have my preferred colour in stock new and on special. . Pick it up Monday afternoon. Happy camper.

Great ride mate Definitely Aero model. The tag on your frame under your tank will help for clarification

Sweet ride Kev, need to get rid of all those stickers on the tank. Cheers Azza Yeah, I've heard a hair dryer and some eucalyptus oil. Get some orange oil goo remover, takes off anything sticky. No need for hair dryers or scrapers. Find in supermarket cleaning isle or ask staff member
