Great stuff Derek, love that first pic!
I can do the story because I use Photobucket, it also gives you the nice big pics too. Photobucket isn't hard to use and free, you just click and drag your photos to upload them, then copy and paste the link to put them here.

Well I'm slowly starting to edit some video .. this first one is on day 1 of our ride to Bright. We had just left Cowra along this lovely stretch of road that I honestly dont remember at all, mainly cause I didn't actually see a lot of the road ...

Absolutely brilliant Anna, well done. I just wish I had the smarts to video, edit and upload.
A couple of minutes of heavy downpour eh? When I left the gang on the Sunday I rode into a storm of biblical proportions on the highway - that was fine. I then got booked on the highway to Kerang, that was fine. I ended up in a motel that was 3 times more than I intended to pay - that was fine. I was running out of fuel going into Murrayville and got stung by a bee on my hand as I was taking the helmet off to find out that the only petrol station in town was closed - that was fine. BUT, what was not fine was getting stuck behind a pig truck, not once, but twice, during a rain storm. Thanks goodness it kept raining after I passed the trucks to wash the pig excrement off.
Great video, but.
How long 'til the next AGM?
Cheers ... Mark

Corky Bad luck? - that wasn't bad luck. Bad luck is when you sneak off to the shops on a Saturday afternoon, hoping the wife didn't hear you leave, and buying a couple of long necks to come back and sit in the garage with and listen to the footy while the wife thinks that you are in the garden pulling weeds or some other meaningless exercise that could be quite adequately handled with a bit of toxic weedicide - AND getting a flat tyre (new tyre 4 weeks new) after purchasing said beer and having to walk home because you left the mobile at home and having to explain the whole sorry saga. THAT IS BAD LUCK

Wow Mark that is serious stuff .. the pig truck I mean, I've been behind a couple of cattle and sheep trucks .. bad enough but to have stuff flying at you ..!!! Oh I feel for you I really do!! I do hope that you got to have your beer in the end on Saturday Oh anyone can do videos, not that hard really .. it's just a matter of practice and well patience .. that's what I lack and why it's taken so long for me to do just one vid. Give it a go mate ya never know what you might achieve, you could be the next Steven Spielburg

HI Anna I was riding back from Murray Bridge a fortnight ago along the freeway and I picked up the delicate scent of a pig truck far off into the distance. From my past experience I slowed right down and just cruised (my turn off was only 10K or so up the road). I caught up with the truck just before the turn off. There's not much you can do about it - just keep your distance if it is raining). Cheers ... Mark

You were the second lot to find shelter there Anna, we pulled in there and the pub patrons quickly pulled tables away to make room for us on the footpath. Soon as it looked like easing we set off again. Must have only just missed you.

The last video I have with SRA at the AGM. This one is of the first day riding to Harrietville for the AGM and lunch. And I have finally started doing some posts about the trip on my blog. Feel free to go over and check them out if you're interested whiteshadowdiary.blogspot.com.au/

Thanks Ray Yep methinks you'd have no problems editing video, personally I just find it a long and boring process. Can be hard to cut down to a manageable size if you have hours of video from a long trip. It's not technical tho, you'd have no problems picking it up.

As mentioned above I got booked near Kerang and was looking down the barrel of $380 & 3 points, then downgraded to $180 and 1 point. After finding out the the good folk of Vic Police allow pleading on good record - I did. I then got an overdue notice and now $230. Three days later I got a letter from Vic Police saying that because I was a South Australian and not from convict stock they would waive the fine and no points. (Actually I made up the bit about being from SA etc). It was my unblemished record that helped me (that goodness they didn'tgo back to my teen years). Anyway, the message is, if you've been a good boy or girl and fall foul of the road traffic rules, Victoria at least gives recognition for behaving oneself (or at least being lucky enough not to get caught). I can now buy the intercom! Cheers ...Mark
