I have been looking at getting some Crash/ Highway bars for my Vt750 Aero. I have seen some from Hong Kong for $150 and some from CruiserCustomizing for around $280 (depending on the deal at the time) Are the HK ones any good? You get what you pay for? Would like to mount lights and maybe some foot pegs. I have been looking at the paladin bars that are 2 pieces, are these stronger than the one piece bars ?

With the hong kong bars you may find the chrome will not last and the actual material is thinner in the construction also.

I had the Hong Kong ones on, they needed adjustment to get them to fit my 2009 VT400 when I first got them but they did hold the bike up in a spill and prevented a lot of damage to the paint work

dont get the one's that bolt to the radiator mount. Too late I already have them!! Why do you say that Shane? The top mounting bracket was designed to hold the radiator only and is not that strong. On impact it has been known to break away and damaging the radiator in the process. The best bars are the ones that bolt to your frame super strong. But something is better than nothing. If you like them.

Thanks for the info, I got my 2 piece palidan highway bars from cruisercustomising took a bit over 2 weeks and 20 minutes to install. Next new front tyre. I think Bridgestone from some of the post.

That was a bit over 2 weeks to get it delivered then 20 minutes to install? :-) Glad you cleared that up. For a minute I thought you took that long to install. 1/4 turn on the bolts every 6hrs, to give them time to settle in and acclimatise to their new surroundings. Now that's caring for your bike.
