Oil or air filter?
Oil filter: Nothing will happen.
Air Filter: - With stock pipes: May run a little leaner but nothing to really worry about. - Aftermarket pipes: will run a lot leaner and should be rejetted to ensure a better tuned engine that will be smoother on acceleration. Stock air box will restrict a lot of air going in but the K&N does allow more air through than the stock air filter.
If you do wack it in, check the colour of your plugs and just keep an eye on them over a week or so and see how they go.

With regards to the air filter,my std pipes i had debaffled a bit . Do you think the K&N will help their at all to let the bike breath better and run better. Mind you i'm getting over 60mgh ,so cant be to bad. Cheers Ray

Let me put it this way. Stock airbox & filter is like drinking beer out of a shot glass. Ok and does the job but could be better. Stock airbox & hi-flow filter is like drinking beer out of a vegemite glass. Much better than the shot glass but could still be better. Hypercharger & Hi-flow filter is like drinking beer out of a middie glass. Much better. Thunder mfg Tornado or Hurricane & Hi-flow filter. Like drinking beer out of a schooner glass whilst sitting next to the keg. Debaffling pipes or aftermarket pipes with a K&N air filter will give you a bit more but is it worth it? Hmmmmm, maybe. If you were trying to get as much power as you could, then yes go the air intake with hi flow filter and straight through pipes. But with a stock airbox I'd just leave it.

Tell me about it... if it was up to me the bike would already have mustang seat .. ape hangers new paint job.. hyper charger... iso grips... custom chopper rear fender with shaved tail light and blikers.. custom pussy pad.... more tattoos.... white walls
but noooo a wedding is more important... already spent 6k just on a RING.. might bike would have been complete already ...

but a wedding is an event that you do and then it's history. A bike on the other hand is something that you can ride over and over and over again.
