Hope you guys aren't getting tired of me seemingly monopolizing a lot of the forum. Anyway, have never had a bike with fuel injection and apparently this one does. On my other bikes I put on manual petcocks and got rid of the vacuum hoses so I could cut into the fuel line like pic 1 to put a T and then an on/off lever on the drain hose like pic 2 so I could fill my camping stove. So can I do this with FI is the question and if so anyone done it?

I think you could as the fuel hose goes from the tank too a fuel pump on the injection models, so it will not effect the pump feed too the injection if you stay between the tank and pump.Cheers

Monopolize all ya want mate . We need it .Helps promote talk. Mine is efi. Can't see it being a prblem . As Croc said is good. Might not hurt to get a blown up version of both . Only difference should be the route via the peacock but they may have put in some sensors or crap to fool us .lol.

Thanks for the replies Croc and Ray. After looking up under the tank of the 750 here I think there's a good chance of buggering something up since I saw so many hoses going every which way. And Ray may be right about sensors too. Don't want to screw up my warranty right away so have decided to just carry a small gas bottle and fill it up at the petrol stations. Any enforced law about dispensing gas into containers or riding around with a pint in a bottle? Hard to do here in the States because of the EPA stuff built into the end of the hose. Very hard to just get only a little out when you start pumping. Other states no problem but CA is pollution-aware crazy.

Yeah I used to do that Croc. Drunk a lot of gas over the years. But still a good fallback position. Just finished doing that to 4 bikes so I could put all fresh gas in and then the stabilizer "Sta-bil" which should be good for the time. A really long CLEAR hose is best for avoiding the bad taste. Our EPA controls gives us gas with short shelf life. My daughter is finding that out with her bike. Keep telling her you have to ride it but it sits too long and takes forever to get it going again.

Over here the 91% lasts quite a long time, the higher octain 95 and 98 lose their octain rate faster,Cheer enjoy your ride.
