Hi Everyone,
I'm new here, and a very new 2011 Shadow VT400 owner from Berwick. It is my first bike. I have passed stage 1 & 2 of my learners, but am doing a few private lessons before I do my stage 3 to build my confidence. I haven't ridden my Shadow yet, as I am waiting to pass stage 3, so I just look at her and sit on her haha!
I was wondering what fuel everyone use to fill their bikes up?
Jacqui

Welcome to the party Jacqui, personally I try to use 95 octane or above, as I feel my 400 seems to sing a little better. Dont leave your shadow sitting in the garage, get out and ride it, it's all experience.

NighT I Jaqui. Glad you joined the group. Personally I use 95 most of the times . The 750 of mine doesnt seem to like 91. EFI model not Carby.

I use 95 or 98. Never 91. Enjoy your ride.

Hi Jacqui. Welcome to the forum, and look forward to you joining some rides. VT400 & 750 carby models are tuned to 91. Most injected models are 95 and above. Also, I find BP & Caltex fuel is better for my bike than Shell. Although all the fuel comes from the same place and distributed to different suppliers, its the additives they put in the fuel that affects the running of the motor. I happy more with BP but will also use Caltex. Cheers
