Hi everyone....or anyone I have just joined the forum after buying my 2012 Honda Shadow... very enthusiastic but can’t find any recent posts on this sit. Is this forum still being used or has it gone to Facebook?. Love to chat to someone who has the same bike

Very little action here, mostly gone to Facebook
There used to be a song many years ago, video killed the radio star The new version should be, Facebook killed the forum posts

Hi woopi66 Some people still use the forum but not many. We used to be quite active for many years, but sadly as Honda do not make a cruiser anymore a lot of our members have upgraded to different brands or makes of bikes and move on. I still check the forum everyday and I can see that a lot of people also check it but do not necessarily log in. I ride a 1998 VT 1100 which I have had since new. I am located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. If you have any questions about anything please post it on this forum and I am sure someone will provide an answer.

Thank you for sharing about the slow demise of the forum. It’s a shame that these cruisers are no longer made and that people are slowly moving away to other bikes. The 400 version is not so lively being about the same weight as the 750 but it still cruises comfortably along at highway speeds which is all I require. I live on the north coast of NSW near Coffs Harbour and have really enjoyed getting out on the Shadow especially on winding country roads where it really comes in to its own. Even with the cold wintry days the riding experience on the Honda is so enjoyable.

As an old fart all I need is highway speed but often get my 09 400 up a little more she's done 83k now and still going strong
