Does anyone have or has anyone seen indicator mirrors fitted to a cruiser. Being mega safetry conscious I am considering fitting them along with a driving light assembly, but just not sure if they will make it look like a granny scooter. I have only seen 1 style of mirrors and they seem to be hard to find. All comments welcome no hurt feelings to be had ;D

Saw them advertised the other week on an american site ,haven't seen any in oz catalogs but thought they would be a good idea. The more you can be seen the better especially if doing any night riding so don't worry on the look Jayne. Thats my view anyhow. Will try to find them and post. Cheers Ray

These are the mirrors Bad Penny customs have in stock. I am going out to see them later in the week, Not sure about buying them because i have no idea how to fit them if i do buy them !. Apparently you can wire them to simply indicate or as auxiliary driving lights which flash when indicating ... Will find out more. Watch this space. By the way Ray can you email me a nice picture link back to here please, a few people have asked me for links for their websites, i thought the wolf logo with an embedded code would be nice. ( see i know a little bit about how these things work- unfortunately all my knowledge is only theory ) jayne Attachments:

Have purchased the mirrors above from Bad Penny Customs but need to finish paying for them and can pick them up in a couple of weeks will need major assistance to fit them as i have no idea what to do. Also bought tyre paint as my current paint is flaking and cracking, will post before and afters when its done. They have the Distributorship for this specially designed bike tyre paint so you wont find it anywhere else, and its actually cheaper than the stuff i previously used so i saved money as well.It was less than $40
I must tell everyone that Simon at Bad Penny Customs is really helpful and has a great philosophy, He has the office and stock at home and wants to keep it that way so he can keep the prices down, it may take a little longer to get stuff if he has to order it in himself but I would highly recommend you give him a go, He's not interested in making piles of money at our expense, he just wants us to enjoy our bikes ;D ;D

Hi Jayne; Glad to see you bit the bullet and bought the mirrors. Saw in a post on Hsouck that you just wire into the wires already in the headlight if that helps. Sounds like Scrap will be handy for you riders in WA. Glad to see the pic thing is working for him now. ;D Looks like Simon at Badpenny is a fair man. By the pics he does an awesome job. The paint sure sounds reasonable priced. Hope that you got the wolf pics sorted out for your friends. Cheers Ray

Hi Angel
Happy to help out fitting the mirrors. Should be a simple job as long as the threads on the mirror poles are the same as on the shadow. Most probably best to splice then into the front indicators at the indicators.
Ring me on the mobile and we can set up a time. 0434 074 779.

Angel, might be an idea to double check that the mirror surface is 80sqcm or greater to comply with Aust standards

Gees Scrap is there a compliance std rating on that . Suppose when you think about it the more you see coming the more your alert. . should be ok by looking at them in the pic. Cheers Ray

Cheers Ray There certainly is an Australian standard - must be 80sqcm surface area as a minimum. That's why the guy on crotch rockets keep getting pinged for their bar end mirrors which are too small. Oh, what a shame. ;D

Are you sure its 80 and not 8 sq cm because my current mirrors which are stock are only 16.52 cm each ( thats 5.25 radius x pii )
Anyway the new mirrors are a little shorter but wider than stock so they will be OK
