Well What fun. Just got taken out by some A---hole driver who failed to give way at a round about. On top of that he drove off. I am sick and tired of the fools that they give licences to these days. Any driver caught for causing and accident with a motorbike should loose their licence for life. They do not deserve the privilege to be road users, and it is a privilege not a god given right. Its about time that Vic Roads and the police got serious about these issues.

Sorry to hear about that mate, are you injured, how is the bike. Agree totally, any driver of car or bus or truck of any size that is involved in an accident with a motor bike and is found to be in the wrong whether partially or totally should be banned for a considerable time and forced to pay for all costs of repairs and injuries, including lost time for the rider from work.

It was at low speed as I had just had put new tires on this morning. So I was taking it very easy going round the bends. I am only a little bit bruised, but it bent my handlebar risers and twisted up the brake pedal, and ripped the duco off the front of my front guard. So much for attending the Toyrun now. Mind you I am still busy getting the transfer all sorted.

Well, Been working on the shadow. I have to give Honda full credit for building a bike that can take the knocks. Turns out that the riser blocks that they use are able to shift a bit with the soft mounts, Those have now been straightened. just have to fix the foot brake and she will be back in ridable condition, even though with a few battle scars which gives me an excuse to upgrade some parts to chrome. Still want to rip the lil buggers throat out though.

Did you get the rego mate? Defintely pass it on to your local police station. Police are always serious about the issue, and are always pushing to get legislation through to prevent the cereal box licences and "international students" driving on our roads without the appropriate skill or knowledge....but, seems the pollies might not care enough.
Most importantly though, it sounds like you're ok, and hope you haven't sustained any serious injuries. Hope the bike is back on the road soon too!
