Hey Nobby, My team-mates went great and had an awesome time, apparently. Regrettably, I actually had to pull out to look after my little one and the Mrs who were both under the weather. My son had had a virus with very high fevers for seven days, and my Mrs (who is now 10 weeks preggers) just wasn't feeling well enough herself to take care of him. By the end of that day, both were on the improve...Oh well, I'm keen on doing next year's. All I have to do now is maintain this level of fitness;)

Actually no, but wish it was just that. After 2 days of high fevers we took our son to see Doc who said it was just a nasty virus, antibiotics would be useless, but should clear up in a day or two...after 5 days the 2nd opinion doctor said the same thing. Little man had fevers in and around 40degrees, which had us worried. Giving Nurofen for Kids every 6 hours for seven days (and occassionally panadaol inbetween) was more than a little concerning, and seemed no end in sight...the Mrs and I both exhausted from worry and the lack of sleep taking care of him. Wasn't til Saturday night he started to have a bit more energy, though slight fever, and by Sunday morning he was his old self again!!! One thing I have to say though, he rarely complained during the illness...which means my 3yo is much better handling the Man Flu than his 40yo Dad. He'll probably also beat me at Tough Mudder next year
