I had a feeling Nobby would have a history behind it. .... Contrary to what most people think it has nothing to do with a certain nut promotions.

Lads...have had the name "BEAR" for about 30 years now. Did alot of windsurfing back in OZ and the lads gave me the name cause of the size of my hands. It just stuck ever since. My wife calls me bear...her family here in Dublin call me bear, it was even on the wedding invitations. And yes, sometimes they do shit in the woods.

have been known as "Spider" since I was about 11-years old. I have an incurable fear of spiders and when I was young, my friends would point and shout "Spider" just to scare the shit out of me (which worked). Anyway, after a while, people who didn;t know me started to call me Spider as they thought that was my name!

I've always been a cheeky bugger, with a cheeky grin...back in 1989 when I just graduated from high school, and before started going to Uni, I secretly wanted to start my own film production company so I toyed around with few potential names. I always loved wolves, always loved to grin, and ended up deciding that "Wolfish Grin Productions" was also the only true representation of the hunger I felt for that industry...and boobies...but that's another story. From that point, everything I did was as "Wolfish Grin"...my first email account, hotmail, live, yahoo, google....basically everything since has always been as WG (online that is).
In person, however, I have almost always been nicknamed "Zorro," "Zed," or "Zombie," since my real first name is Zorbey (pronounced "Zor-bay," but I usually just prefer to use "Zorb").
My current contact details: wolfishgrin@hotmail.com, wolfishgrin@gmail.com
I've stopped using the old wolfishgrin@yahoo.com, wolfishgrin@live.com...etc as they were getting way too much spam. I've also had a number of copycats out there with different variations of the name, but as you can see, my original handle is unadulterated by any "numbers/symbols." I was the first!
Grinning the wolfish grin, always!

I think I was on the right track, unlike all the people who thought you had found inner peace and awsome fighting abilities thru the wisdoms of a wisened old asian gentleman

Well, I've strayed from what I've usually used, started with "Golliwog" but was always accused of being either politically incorrect or raciest. Although I ask, who's the raciest....I for using it, or others for being offended by it? oh well...haved moved on. Then I went to "Brutus" which I quite often still use. I'm a big fella and when I have the full face beard, which like my hair, is not tidy when it gets long, apparently makes me look like a certain cartoon character!! That started when I was ten pin league bowling yrs ago. The one I use here is a new one I've adopted just for here. For a crust I'm a linehaul driver, up and down the Bruce Highway, which at the moment is absolute torture with the amount of roadworks happening at the moment. Anyway, the run I do, the 1st town that I would drop at is Mackay. I'm averaging about 220,000 km a year. Tomorrow, (Mother's Day) I'm heading off for Cairns. So I think the rest is self explanatory!! Oh B T W .... for those that may not have worked it out, it was the Popeye cartoon. And for the purists, it was originally Bluto, but the rights for the cartoon was sold and the buyers weren't sure if that included the right to use the villains name, so either then break the copyright, it was changed to Brutus until they realized they could use the original name. Well I have mine because everyone seems to get my real name wrong. It's Clayton Shane Chapple, but one day a letter arrived at work addressed to Mr Cray McCraigton Chuffle. So naturally all my work mates called me Chuff from then on, and that's a name I use for forums & online games. Then some time later I was having dinner with a work colleague when a friend of his that I had previously met turned up. My friend went to say, "you remember Clay don't you" but before he could say my name the guys said, "of course Clarry, how are you". So then I became Clarry to all my work buddies. Hence to forum name here. A long winded but probably short lived explanation, by the time you read this I might be know as Chakra or even Chunder.

Sometimes simple is better ray .. ya know I'm just gonna call you Rayd when I meet you tho ..
Grasshopper it's a shame you havent been able to continue with the Wing Chung, it's good to be able to do something you enjoy that gives you enjoyment and keeping you fit at the same time is just a bonus.

Well, mine's pretty simple it's Mac, because the surname is McGeorge (I even had Mac stamped on my tenpin bowling ball when I played tenpin league for about 45 years), sometimes I get Macca or even 'flash' because I tend to do everything in a hurry, can't stand dawdlers, I walk fast & am no procrastinator. "Why put off till tomorrow things you can do today? If you do it today, & enjoy it, you can do it again tomorrow" ;D
