post your thoughts QLD Riders on the following SRA Meets idea.. ie... this Saturday July 28 is Lunch meet @ Bribie Island then followed on with...... Saturday August 18 - Lunch meet @ Boonah Saturday September 22 - Lunch meet @ Sunshine Coast Sunday October 21 - Lunch meet @ Toowoomba Saturday November 24 - Lunch meet @ Maleny Sunday December 16 - Lunch meet @ Nanango This was the idea I had so that riders could choose well in advance and be able to orginize and meet up for lunch It covers saturday and sunday riders and (apart from bad weather) we could have 1 show up or 15 show up. Basically if your going to attend one, post that you are and hook up with others who are, no difference to what we do now How we get there and what time can be worked out by who's attending.

thanks for the input SED ;D, the whole idea of this is to accomodate all riders and all areas at least a once or twice a year, some can't make sunday's some can't make saturday's but through out the 12 month period I reckon it will give everyone a chance to meet up at at least one of the meets.
Also if anyone wanted to organise tour rides it could easily be slotted in anywhere.

I like that ride planning in advance, but I still think that we should review the plan close to the ride. As an example: I have no idea what I will be doing this Sunday, therefore it will be even harder to know what I will be doing on November 24 (probably riding to Maleny, but who knows?). Whatever the case, good job MRC!

Aldo that is the whole point . We have set a date so therfore you know whats on ,whether sat or sun. Can understand if one is a shift worker or driver for a company .I can imagine that would be hard to work out. So everyone please get behind this idea and try to see if we can get it going. Oh by the way MRC ,well done . I think maybe a meet in Goomeri may also be good idea . Dont forget there is a charity ride in October .Is posted in the calendar. A flyer for the event Ride For Relay For Life is not far off. There is no reason as MRC has qouted that a normal ride or two cant be had in the interim of these planed meets. ACE98 has suggested one his way so i think that should be worked on and we need i think a ride up north of me. Spinal has been great attending some of our rides so i think we need to do a run his way . Spinal, work a day ride out for around your district . What you reckon mate. Have been thinking of a ride from here up to Bundy , down to Hervey Bay and back through TinCan and back to Gympie or Pomona, via Kin Kin. Big day out so we may have to o/nite it. See what happens . Cheers Ray

But don't forget we have the Gold Coast ride on Sat 15th sept (one week before your Sunshine Coast for lunch). Like Sed, Sundays are out for me too, the Allmighty comes first on that day.

Yes Mac i ment to put that in my mistake. .Where are you taking us this time my friend. I suppose the same as last time would be great seeing as the turnout was not real flash. I think we are getting close or overdue for a ride on a fortnightly -3week basis what ya reckon. Or when ever the whim takes it hold on us. Cheers Ray

cheers for the input riders, I can explain the whole concept of this on saturday Just to explain a little, a meet is a different concept to a ride, it is more so planned in advance to cover all areas of where our riders live, for example the next six months meets after these would probably be bundaberg, goomeri, gold coast, ipswich, gympie. see ya all on saturday when we [glow=red,2,300]ROCK THE TUNNELS[/glow]

Hey Ray, I think I didn't make my point very clear, sorry about that. It is a great idea to have all the rides planned in advance but an update close to the date wouldn't harm.

Sundays aren't good for me or the "Minister of War" either. Having said that, it is about the ride, the friendship and good times. Certainly doesn't mean that there shouldn't be any. My other thoughts about it is that I prefer to leave Sundays to the "wanna be" sport bike riders that try and do their Casy Stoner impersonations! Sorry in advance if that offended anyone....just my opinion. Advanced notice is a great idea and if a Sunday ride is happening and I'm available, I'd probably be there. Brian.
