Sounds great! I'd like to pop onto that1! I am a single dad, and sometimes it is a challenge to find time... But I'd love to come... no noob jokes ! you would be more than welcome mate and we don't do noob jokes ... as for those with time constraints, you can leave the ride at anytime (just let someone know your plans) and get home in time to do what you need to do, nothing is ever set in concrete.

This Sunday is also the Ride the Bay in a Day push bike event. Although it should not affect us (I Hope) there maybe increased traffic on the road down on the Peninsula.

By 10am Nobby, Shane, Saddo, Joffa and myself met up at our designated meetup spot at Maccas in Berwick. It was then onto our bikes and hit the roads. The sky was grey with dark clouds. With Nobby leading we made our way down toward the Penninsula on some great country roads riding through Hastings, Bittern, Balnarring and Merricks. Every now and then the sea would come into view. We reached our first stop Flinders, riding into the the beach car park where we stopped to stretch our legs. The sky was now blue, the sun warm and the sea still and tranquil. We watched some paddle boarders taking a lesson with those boards you stand up on and paddle. We really couldn't see the fun in doing that, but each to their own. We were soon back on our bikes cutting across to Rye and following the beach side road toward Sorrento. Today was the annual Around the Bay in a Day cycling event. There was miles and miles of lycra going in both directions and everywhere you looked. I tell you folks some were not an attractive sight! The police had set up a road block stopping cars going into Sorrento for the cycling event, but I swear Nobby thought they were onto him because as soon as he saw the road block he was doing a hasty u turn with us following behind. So on we went passing all the lycra trying to guess the boys from the girls (some you rode up from behind had long slender legs and their hair in a pony tail and you think here's a spunky chick only to then see they're a bloke!!) before turning off the beach road and up the tight bends to Arthur's Seat. We stopped for some refreshments and the blue skies now turned grey again with dark clouds and just a sprinkling of rain. We made our way through Red Hill, back to Flinders and onto Bittern etc where the blue skies reappeared. We had a fuel stop in Hastings where we bid farewell and continued our travels as riders peeled off to head for home. Thank you to Nobby for organising and leading the ride through some of the great roads of our beautiful Penninsula area. I think we have seen enough lycra today to last us a life time! Stop at Flinders beach car park Flinders Beach pier Paddle boarders apparently having fun??? Arthur's Seat summit View from Arthur's Seat

G'Day Gents, Had a great Ride with Nobby and the guys. Very nice views and great roads through the peninsula. Definitely enjoyed the ride however, had a minor incident on the way home and ended up with three possibly four broken bones in my right foot. 5 minutes from home after a car cuts in front of the car in front of me, car brakes, I brake and swerve to miss car. Didn't swerve quite enough and clip the back left guard of the car hence the foot peg crushed my foot up against the bike. Need to make an appointment with ortho who will decide if I need pins. Damaged the right foot peg, no other damage except pride !!! Doctor says to keep of bike and feet 4 to 6 weeks possibly longer if pins put in. Nobby after six hours at the hospital and getting foot in plaster I also ad several whiskeys when I got home. Hope to get back on the bike sooner than later. Cheers all
