Wow mate what a beauty. Surely there is nothing more you have to bling this one up with is there. . Have to admit they are a nice machine ,how does it ride mate. Have been thinking of getting floor boards for the 750 mate how do you find them against the normal peg. Does the ankle get sore at all. Only ask this because if the foot is forward to much i thought it might put pressure on the ankle region, though only if the board isn't lined up right i suspect. Cheers Ray

Cheers Ray Hi Ray, it rides like a dream, I could not believe how good the ride was, got off the 1600 after 3 1/2 hours and was fresh as a daisy, so easy to ride. As for the floor boards, the most comfortable boards I have ever used, now I am regretting (just a little bit) getting my red webbed footpegs for the Shadow. May have to work some overtime to purchase some floorboards and see how they are on the Shadow, my only concern on the Shadow is that with the width/length of the floorboards may loose some road clearance on cornering. But on the 1600 they are brilliant, not one ache from the toes to the hips. Only sore spot I had was my right shoulder, from looking over my left shoulder all the time watching the vehicles I was passing - there were plenty. The 1600 is a bit of a handfull between 0 & 5 kmhs, but after that it is easy to handle than the Shadow, as it is brilliantly ballanced and the larger/wider front tyre means you don't have the handling issues on rough surfaces coming back through the bars. If I sound impressed with the 1600, that's an understatement, I had read how good they were but was blown away by the ride. I have the best of all worlds now, Silverback Burgy 650 for daily ride to/from work (city riding involved), Redback Shadow 750C Aero for half/full day trips, and the Chameleon Kawa VN 1600 Classic for long distance travel weekends and holidays. ;D ;D ;D Regards, Adrian.

Hi Steve, thanks for the welcome back. I am so happy to be back riding, healths ok and will be managed, but as long as I can ride I'll be happy as a pig in mud. I have promissed Jane that I will have a 12 month break from buying bikes, bling & modifications after the $ spent in the past 6 months. No loss to me, as Iwill spend the next 12 months riding as much as possible and planning the next bing/mods/purchases to make in July 2011. The old retro cruiser look is my fav too, saw an Indian in a Cruiser mag the other week and it was the ultimate looker. Jane saw the glint in my eye and immediately snatched the cruiser mag from me and hid it. Sometimes she has no sense of adventure/humor Just spend the afternoon cleaning all 3 bikes ready for some riding whilst the weathers good (not pissing down). Regards, Adrian.

Adrian my man you are making me weak at the knees and looking at my bank account to see if i can have another. ;D BUT and there is always a but or is it called the wife. ;D ;D ;D Yep no sense of adventure as you say. Though she did mention about a bike for the daughter, took me by surprise but there is a reason why she had that thought. With the floor boards on the 750 they still will bend up if you srape the tar so why not . Am looking for a set myself and a set for you know who. ;D I can't believe how long it takes to clean the bikes , more than a blinkin cage. Bought a bike jack the other week and that helped untoldly cleaning mine on saturday. Much easier doing the spokes i must say. Repco had some for159bucks on special, prolift qiute a solid jacking unit i think. Am going to have to have a ride on one of those machines i reckon. Cheers Ray

Hey thanks Adrian now the missus wont be looking over my shoulder to see what i'm writing anymore. ;D She just saw your new avatar. She's scared shitless of spiders mate. ;D ;D ;D ;D Sorry darling . Used to like being on the bikes solo but now since Trish has been on the back a fair bit i kind of get a bit dejected at the thought of being out there by myself. Yeah i know you mock them but you love them as well. ;D. She is that good at it now she takes great pics as we ride about. Most of the scenery shots of the last ride are on the go. Cheers Ray
