Yes Shane yesterday we lived up to that sunshine state tag - had to make sure we got to see that wonderful blue sky in the pics. Lots of us must have been doing the no rain warrior dance in the lead up to the day. Looks like we are in for a crap load of rain this week though.

Well the memorial ride was ok, very unorganised but a good cause non the less... The Shadow 4 hour ride after wards was bloody FANTASTIC and extremely well organised lol, what do you expect.. Many THANKS ANT, KON and STEVO for a blinder of an arvo... Greatly enjoyed the ride after the Lights on the Hill convoy. Shame we weren't used as escort as such, sentiment expressed by fellow riders. It can only be better next year. Hey, did I mention I enjoyed the ride after? ;D ;D ;D

Great stuff Kon lets see if we can get those other shadow bikes on a ride with us.. The escort was a disappointment with the way it was handled, it wasn't supposed to be about the bikes or groups, it was supposed to be a remembrance and support for the convey and I think a few forget that... Anyway may get involved next year in another way..

Let's aim to make Toowoomba a go for next year. I am sure, MRC, we could support the convoy from Toowoomba in the way you had in mind.

Thanks Ant LOL. . Have been very busy so will put up some pics soon ? yea moved again .........
And now a Message from Lights on The Hill......
.On behalf of the Lights on the Hill crew I would like to say a huge thankyou to everyone of you who came and helped us pay tribute to the many lives lost in the transport industry and to help raise awareness to the public of just how important to them the industry is. We feel humbled to be able to work together and organise a day such as the convoy for you all and to have the amount of people come and join us was truly overwhelming. To every volunteer that helped make the day possible, thankyou!! Without you contribution to the organisation the events would not run the way they do. To the artists Cross Country Band, The Rockin Bobcats, Kerry Kennedy & Double Barrel, Jeff Brown, Paul Costa, Jayne Denham, Travis Sinclair and Adam Harvey thankyou for making it a rockin good time from start to finish. A very big special thankyou to all the bikes who came out for the ride, the riders who helped marshall the trucks did an awesome job of parking them all on the oval and the committee would like to say thankyou. A special request thanks from Kerry Wilkins from CLH to every driver who drove in the convoy. He wants you to know that it was a true honour and a pleasure to drive with you all and you should be commended on making the convoy such an awesome sight. Juanita
