Hi all,

Woo Hoo - passed my P licence test today and even better passed it on my big shadow cruiser and not the courses Yamaha 250 ;D

DECA (Driver Education centre Australia) offered me the option of one of their Yamaha 250's or I could use my Honda VT400 and get a $60 refund for using my own bike.
I actually felt more confident using their smaller bike because it would be easier on the MOST test however, the instructor Ross convinced me to use my shadow and if worse came to worse I could use their Yamaha 250 for the MOST test but he wanted me to have a go on my cruiser because it's a different riding style and I should stick with the cruiser...so I used my Shadow.

WOW... my VT400 is a big heavy bike to haul through those tightly placed swerving cones and bugger me it felt like it was 20 feet long when I had to do the U turn...but, WOW... I did the cones without hitting one or putting my foot down and bugger me... managed to do the U turn (with an allowed Wider entry)but did it without going out of the U turn box or putting a foot down... needless to say, I'm bloody happy with my efforts and even better.... I've gained a bit more 'street cred' with P plates and no longer have L plates lol ;D

best part..... I'll be doing Dubbo with P plates lol

I've now got my boat licence test tomorrow.... then service the bike on Monday (public hol in Tas), then on the Ferry Wed and on the road with the Vic crew Thursday
