Hi all just joined the ranks Daves the name and Ive just bought a Vt750 Shadow 2005 model Been riding Sportbikes for years but Bad knees has converted me to the Cruiser style of life (im gonna have fun) anyway i love the bike only non standard thing on it is the handlebars (whooa) there wide)a mate at work is giving me some smaller bars next week One question i do have is what rear shocks off other bikes can i use im pretty sure mine are on there way out
Any way ride safe

G'day Dave, welcome! If you have the adjustable type on the back you might just need to clunk that up one or two notches, (normally just requires a twist of the top half of the housing with a dry hand to do so)may help. My 400 likes to bottom out on the lowest setting but just one adjustment up and it is perfect.

i tried that its got the 5 settings and either 1 im bouncing off the seat and they keep bouncing 50 mtrs down the road and have tried with pillion on all settings as well (nearly launched the missus over my shoulder on setting 5)thanks for the help though does anyone know which shocks will fit my 2005 c4 ive found a few but have different part numbers to mine

Need progressve springs mate . Most likley 11.5in . Can get them in heavy duty as well . Call Simon at Bad penny customs in Wa . Forum member and expert with sales. Www.badpennycustom.com.au. Hi Griffo and welcome!! And what Ray said bout the shocks. I have mine set on the second setting and found them bouncy so tried the next one up, they are too hard for me so I put them back down and try to avoid bumps ;D
