Been on here a while so i thought i should say a bit about myself Names David (aka) Griffo 41 married with 4 kids and been into bikes before i could walk had my license as soon as i could get it 16 9months lol mainly been riding sportsbikes my whole life the Shadow is my first Cruiser and now ive got the suspension set up right man is it good last bike was a VTR1000 loved the bike but dicky knees meant i couldnt ride it for more than an hour before they locked up so sold it on the friday and bought the Shadow on the saturday and rode it back from Coffs Harbour even with the bad suspension and sticky throttle i enjoyed the ride home In the Newcastle area and love chucking the missus on the back and even just going for a coffee ride(she loves the bike too)shes been on it more in 1 week than the 4 years i owned the Storm lol ;D Any way your probably dozing off so ill leave it at that Hope to meet up on a ride soon

I'll bet the shadow is a hell of a lot more comfy for your wife!! Nice to meet ya griffo, have to admit we do the coffee run most weekends ... (well when we haven't got anything else to do ). I'm originally from newy so we head down that way to see family (tho not as often as my mum says we should) so maybe we can catch up for a bit of a ride sometime

Thanks David. Great that you are loving the ride . what did you end up doing with the suspension .Just progressive springs. Good your good lady hops on for a lap . Mine used to untill her knees went bad . Ok for around town or so but not longish rides . Love her on the back . Cheers Ray

thanks all i used progressive springs and cartridge emulators from the usa had to drill oversize holes in the dampner rod on each fork(due to it being obsolete now with the emulaters ) the spring kit comes with everything except the emulaters then added fully synthetic fork oil and voila my arms are now staying attached to my body lol ;D
