I've kinda wanted to go with this look for a while. I like the cleaner lines but thought that if I wanted to travel on the bike I'd need all the extra stuff like sissy bars and back seats to stow my chattels. When I got the seat modified it looked so pretty, and while the pillion seat would still match it, it wouldn't look as shiny and new. It really didn't take much for me to decide to just go ahead and change my baby to a sleeker sexier look.
I took off the pillion seat, saddlebags and spacers then put the indicators back onto the fender rails where Honda wants them to be. The indicators were the only real hassel, as I've gotten Kuryakin indicators for the back and the bolts for them didn't fit into the holes on the fender rail. I'm pretty proud of the fact that I managed to drill those holes out the tiny bit they needed without breaking anything. The indicators look much better up there and I reckon are more visible.
Anyway here's a pic of the job so far ...
I'm really pleased with this look and dont have too much to do now. Gonna remove the rear pegs of course (I just didn't have the energy to argue with that split pin yesterday). Then I want to get a fender rack and some bags to strap onto it for when we travel. I'm also going to change the front indicators to match the back and put them on a light bar along with some good driving lights. Then it's just pipes and everything to goes with that. (I might need help with that bit )
Nearly got her perfect ;D
