Hi folks I've always been a bit unimpressed with the headlight of the Shadow, even though I've upgraded the bulb (not HID, but one of the 90% brighter etc type lights) and like all of us, I've been concerned about being seen by other road users. To this end I've been looking for a way to increase the visual impact at the front of the Shadow. When I went to the Gladstone gaol in SA one of the guys that went with me was riding the latest squillion dollar top shelf Beemer - it had riding/driving lights on all the time with the headlight and I was quite impressed (but not prepared to pay $40+K for a bike). So, I looked around for some lights I could put on the Shadow and low and behold I found a retailer in SA who sold over the net these LEDs for under $35 the pair. Over the weekend I installed the lights (fiddly job but not difficult) and I'm very happy with the result (and they switch off when starting because I hooked the relay into the light for low beam). Cheers ... Mark

They look good Langers, I'm with you want more light in front of me not just to see by but to be seen.
They certainly give you more of a profile.

Do you have a close up pic of how you mounted them?

They do look good Looks just like chromed brackets mounted to the guards, and the wiring seems well hidden! very nice!!

G'day Bigjim & Chrisso The mounting was pretty simple - a couple of flat pieces steel with some sort of silver coating from Bunnings (from the plumbing/bathroom section I think) that I heated and bent and attached to the guards as Chrisso said. The wiring isn't as well hidden as I'd like so I intend to fix it before the big ride off to Border Village (Farriders) 1st weekend of August. I've just finished installing a 12 volt socket on the cover next ot the ignition. I'll put it on the web a bit later.
Cheers ... Mark
