FYI You can buy an Oil filter from Autobarn for the Honda Shadow 750 and VTX 1800 Wesfil part No WMOF01 for $13.00 Bit cheaper than Honda and I like to change mine every 5000klm so it saves me a bit of coin. I'm also trying Penrite MC-4ST (4 STROKE) 10W-50 Semi Syn oil, 4lt for $33.00 so far so good.

Yes Shane thanks. Pretty sure you can get them around that price in most actually franchisees. Penrite hey, interesting must say. Think the Honda oil I get is 45 bucks so that's a saving if it conforms to specs.

I service mine today and used a K&N oil filter that I got from work ( Repco )I used the K&N as it has a nut moulded into the end of the filter making future services a breeze. I used Motul oil in mine it previously had genuine Honda oil and wow what a difference the Motul made gear shifting so much smoother it is also a semi synthetic like Penrite.
