Well I fitted my air horn the other week straight to the existing horn wires as read about not needing the relay on here somewhere. Gave it a few it a few short beeps at home and all worked welll but not to much as kids sleeping. Yesterday while heading to work had a tool in a Merc with his phone in his ear change lanes across a solid white line right on top of me so I thought sweet I will blast the wanker with my new horn. But after about half a second the horn cut out and I am thinking bugger might need some of that Viagra of Cliffies to get my horn working
Anyway thought no more of it just a blown fuse what I didn't realise is that my brake and indacaters are run through the same fuse. So on the way home in heavy traffic using hand signals when another rider works out my problem and shadows me all the way to my turn off, so big thanks to that guy . Was good to know at least one of us had a brake light.
The relay is now wired in and the horn works a treat, now where is that tool in the Merc.

Lucky mate . Who posted not needing a relay ,should always relay things for the load they take.
Glad all is well except for a misguided MERC TOOL.

I picked it up in the thread for air horns written by someone who will remain nameless as they have an almost religious status and in my heart I knew it was not likely but I was just being lazy " I fitted a relay in the compartment for the handbook,but not really needed unless you intend to blow your horn continuously." I had an uncle that had a F truck years ago who had spotties wired in with out a relay would plunge you into darkness at the most inappropriate times.
