Hi all. Got a new bag from the States. Used it for the 1st time yesterday on the NSW ride. Thought I would share some pics and thoughts. Bag is a "medium large bikers friend". Comes with some bungy cords, straps and re-sable ties (used to secure to bike as you see fit). Also included are are 2 types of back rest and an interchangeable lumbar support roll. Bag attached to my solo rack. 2x straps and 4x re-usable ties used to secure it. Open bag like this. Note carry handle if you want to remove and carry away. Opens both sides. Pockets on outside with reflectors incorporated on the buckles. zippered pockets on the inside as well. Rigid PVC inside. Large access to bag interior. Backrest and lumbar roll attaches with Velcro (not used on this ride as bag was mounted to the rear of rack) Mesh backrest fitted. Overall I was impressed with the bag. Reached speeds of 90+ km/hr, bag stayed solid. The bag and shipping is not cheap, but the workmanship is solid and well made. Delivery took about 2 weeks. Was only going to have the bag on when I needed it, however decided to leave on. Works well with a small cooler bag to do some shopping errands. Bag + some extra shopping slides right in, quick, secure and easy. I am also considering to get a couple more. A smaller one to sit in front of this one, and another for my wife's bike. For those interested the web site is www.bikersfriend.com/

you know, you could probably fit about half a dozen hamster wheels plus hamsters, then hook it up to your back wheel and you've got an eco friendly cruise control

I love the way you can get into it thru the ends. I have a similar one and I have to fight off the Velcro fitting to access it along the barrel. It ain't as pretty as yours either. Great pics. Well done. I have barrel envy now!

True test of a bag is if you can get a slab in there, as I found out when I did a bourbon run at Glenmaggie I got 3 bags of ice, 2 bottles of bourbon, 6 udl cans and 10 wild tukey 101 in my saddle bags after that day they went from just bags to tardis bags.

Bag fits a fair whack. Grabbed dinner last night. Peaking duck, Soy Chicken and BBQ pork. Bag of rice, some Chinese vegetables and a few packs of frozen dumplings. Then went and grabbed a bottle of scotch. All went in, no problem. I also use a small cooler bag with it. Zombie has seen it. I like to throw a few frozen bottles of water and a few from the fridge for a long day of riding. I did that for Mudgee. With the bike in the sun and temps above 40, I still had cold water for the trip back.
