Guess my $#!¥ really does stink lol Eek Wendy .. mind you when I first started to ride cray didn't have his bike so he used to just follow me in the car, did the ride to Newy like that and its not bad, the car gives you a bit of a buffer from the other traffic. Just go at your own pace

so if u are on your P's or L's u are restricted in speed. Is that right? And how come an "L" plater can ride un-escorted... over here when u get your "L"s u must be accompanied by an open class rider ( min of 4 years experience ), or instructor at all times ( u tend to get your licence quickly that way ). Also when u get your "P"s there is only the state limit as per any other motorist & u don't have to display your "P" plates on your bike, like i seen u guys do. But u can only ride a LAMS bike for the first 12 months. Then if u want a larger bike u have to do another test on a non lams bike showing you have the skills to handle the larger bike.
louie.
PS:- and i thought our rules sucked

Yep that's right Louie, k's can only do 80 and p's 90 which I think is a bit silly but I can Olson see some wisdom in it when you are talking about kids getting their first bikes who think they are indestructible and that they.have to go as fast as the bike can go whether they can handle it or not. It dies make things a bit dangerous if you have to ride on a highway though as you then have to deal with faster moving traffic, around here that traffic is notoriously impatient. I don't understand your rule about the escort rider either ... How on earth that helps a new rider in practical terms i'm not sure .. tho I'll admit while I was learning (and I still am) I rarely went anywhere without Terry along, but that was really just a moral support kinda thing ... It was comforting to know there was someone there to help me pick up the bike

I don't need no stinking escort. Unless she is blond and willing (oh and why wife doesn't catch me).
