Alright what's the go here. I had a ride Saturday and had some fellow riders nod and other didn't! What's the correct etiquette here?

If you don't nod you're a knob hehehehehe ..... You should nod it's a polite and friendly gesture (it's equivilant to a wave mate) everyone hates people who don't , if they don't nod back either their a dick or failed to notice

I dont think there's an ettiquette as such .. I nod or wave to every bike I pass but dont always get one back. Sometimes I think it's just that they didn't see or are busy staying upright But I do think there is a bit of funnyness sometimes .. you know sports bike dont wave/nod to guys on cruisers .. or Harley riders dont nod/wave to anyone not on a Harley, but I really dont think that's the case most of the time .. I know personally the only reason I wouldn't is because I didn't see them till too late and they are going too fast (not me .. I never go fast ) or I'm busy doing something tricky like going round a round about. Funny thing tho, I've been snobbed a bit by scooters .. I nod/wave to them all the time, there's a lot getting round town lately and as far as I'm concerned they are riders too so they get the same curtesy and g'day .. I wonder if they are snobs or just surprised

Unwritten rule you don't nod scoters they are way uncool, but in saying that I got wasted at the lights by a guy on a 650 cc scooter the other week but I still looked way cooler lol

Another fine point by Dazza and scooter people need to race off at the lights to make up for their general impotence

I nod to most anyone. Scooters because i feel sorry for them. Other cruiser riders, sporty riders everyone. If its a day where i see a tonne of bikes i try and be realistic or ill just look like a wobble head doll

I nod/wave to pretty much everyone on 2 wheels, but I find the BMW & Harley riders are one & the same with this. Too busy concentrating or too "bad-ass" to respond. I tend to get it with a few sport bike packs too, but most are pretty cool. Only time I bother to try communicate with the elites is to warn them of the cops. And even then, that doesn't even seem to get a result

lol I do the tap helmet signal for cops and sometimes (very sometimes) Ill get acknowledgement. Most of the time i get a confused stare or they think im saying something is wrong with their helmet and start feeling around on their own lid.
