I am writing to encourage all SRA members to make an effort to attend the AGM in Bright in March. I see the number count has been slowing down for those attending and I want to remind you that if you live in Victoria this is your best opportunity to attend an AGM without needing to take too much extra time off. We have had almost 400 people register as SRA members over the years and it would not be unreasonable to expect to see 50 or more at the AGM. As Administrators we sometimes scratch our heads when organised events are attended poorly. If you are proud to wear the SRA badge then please make an effort to support events and especially the AGM.
For those who didn't attend the NSW meeting you would have no idea just how enjoyable it was. If you are undecided, I suggest you make some contact through the forum or Facebook with some of those who were there last year and find out just what you missed out on.
I don't think as Administrators we are asking too much of members to make an effort to get together once a year to have their say on how our group operates, especially when the AGM is held in your State. If you are Victorian and haven't indicated your attendance yet please consider doing so promptly. The efforts made in Dubbo by Brenda and Cray have set a standard for all SRA AGM's that Victoria through the hard work of George and Shane is making every effort to meet. Bright is a beautiful place and the ride there from whichever direction you come in from will be great fun if you start your planning now and travel in with other members.
Please don't be an outsider looking on. Get motivated and be an active SRA member.
