Hi all a group of riders on a charity ride for the Westpac rescue helicopter service was refused service at the Commercial pub in Inglewood QLD. No one was wearing any club patches I find this action of the pub pretty poor. What does every one think ?

Mate happened to us a few weeks back, not sure if it was a bikie thing or because George was with us , So we left and went to the Hastings Pub and gave them our money.

Really that's pretty poor .. when you consider that all kinds of people ride bikes and while they are in leathers on the bike they are just as likely to be in three piece suits for the rest of the week .. oh and they talk .. maybe not name them here but sheesh I wouldn't be taking any of my friends there.

I would name them as long as you are not saying anything defamatory or not factual then it is not a problem. You are simply advising your friends where not to go so that they are not wasting their time. Azza

I think its very poor form! We have never been refused service on the Sunny coast but in saying that, it's only been a few of us riding at one time. (The larger rides are catered for quite well) Most places appreciate the business, but I am sure the knock backs will come. The laws being passed in Queensland have got most intelligent thinking people concerned and on edge. No one, the publicans, the customers or riders need the stress, some places will err on what they think, is the safe side. I would like to think sanity will prevail, but I really don't know. Nells and i went for a ride today, no where near as many bikes on the roads. :-(

This is definitely nothing new.and is not exclusive to motorcycles?have had it happen in outback SA about 15 yrs ago in a truck?had it happen riding a sports bike?it is just publicans that have lousy attitudes. And motorcyclists using the new laws as the excuse for it happening

I think its NEWMAN crap that causes that... here in Newie pubs & clubs have been told $250,000 fines if caught servicing bikies.(now not allowed to wear their colours they look like us all hey).. FIGHT the VLAD laws hard.... police Nazi states poppping up evetwhere.... my real thought is VERY UN-AUSTALIAN all of it.

I say book a party for dinner, everyone drive there and then cancel on arrival and go down the road

These business that refuse to serve motorcyclists don't realise the extent of damage they are doing to there business. If this continues, we start a black list of vendors and merchants and avoid them as much as they refuse us. We don't need them as much as they need our dollars. Everyone start listing franchises that refuse your custom, make a special heading for them. Lets teach them where it hurts, the smart arses. cheers

I only know how to reply and start a thread, but to actually have a heading on it, that's beyond me. By the way, any ex cop looks sus. No offence George.
