Hi All,
While you were on your ride with Kustom and stopping at those Retro cafe's, which I must say, looks like they were a great spot to stop at.
I was doing my annual Charity run with the '59 Motorcycle Club' and 'Crusaders Scooter Club'.
I met up with my brother Leo and my friend Garry and arrived at 11.00am. There were already over 200 motors there.
This is looking to the right
And this to the left
And this is Far left.
While there, they had a 'Tug of War' to symbolize the Mods & Rockers rivalry, first the women and then the men.
Then we all rode off to Custom Lane in Hawthorn, via Beach Road, down South Road to Warrigal road. Headed north to Canterbury road the left into Glenferrie Road Hawthorn.
I have to say, the smell of the fumes and sound of all the bikes is better being high on some drug, not that I would know what that feels like.
This is Custom Lane in Hawthorn.
Saw some interesting bikes. This is a Suzuki 400 Trail Bike, customised as a Cafe racer.
And this one belongs to one of our SRA members Joel, his call sign is DC something or another, he looks on the forum but is not active. I met him and a Scottish chap Jerry who has a 750 Shadow and both have my number.
Jerry lives on the Peninsula, and I mentioned we were down there recently. He needs people to ride with. I told him get on the forum, we'll meet him.
Here's Joel's 1998 Shadow Aero, absolutely stunning bike.
I saw a lot more Shadow riders but they eluded me, particularly one who only had his Shadow for 5 days and asked about my pipes while stopped at the lights. Quickly told him about the forum and recommended suppliers page, then it was full throttle again.
Hope this all makes sense and I have put the photo's in the right order. Wish we all could have ridden together today, but the Toy Run is looming.
Cheers all
