Shane has made a good point on his post for the vics ride .. its supposed to be only 38 degrees on Sunday in Mudgee but that's still pretty Damn hot! If ya don't feel the need to ride in the heat then that's fair enough, just let someone know so that the latent mother in me doesn't fret. Remember all the safety stuff, hydration, hat, sunscreen ect Whee only 6 days til we get to ride!

goo.gl/maps/3NpgK
We are meeting at 7.30 am for an 8am leave. We can add additional comfort stops but can not reduce them.
Please if you plan to join us on this ride, review the proposed route.
Any suggestions about the planned route are welcome.
We will have an L Plater who is at best a nervous nanny (namely me) so this ride may be a little slow.
If you want to skip ahead to the next rest stop, feel free I`ll catch you up on the straight bits.
Cheers Wendy Witch

Good job Wendy .. take it easy specially on that Bylong Valley way, I hear it's a bit twisty Have fun riding and we'll seeya there tomorrow. So to recap: Riding to Mudgee and meeting at the Robert Stein Vineyard. Lunch has been booked for roughly 12-12:30 at the Pipeclay Pumphouse Restaurant at the Vineyard. Check out the Motorcycle Museum before or after lunch up to you (entry is free). Good old BOM is predicting some cooler weather for Mudgee now with only 36ºC but it's still hot enough so remember your water and stops for rehydration, and some sunscreen. Confirmed coming are: Anna and Cray Cas and Wendy BDR Zombie Steve Rick Plus some other friends of Casper's, maybe another 5 or so I think. Gonna be a great day out!! Seeya's all there

Well I'll try to let ya's all know what transpired today. It started out a beautiful Sunday morning .. then they made me get outta bed!! Cray and I headed to Mudgee bright and early .. oh OK I lied .. we took it easy. The weather was playing nice when we left home, was actually even a little cool riding through the trees .. not through the actual trees, we were on the road and the trees were beside us. We got to the vineyard after traversing the awesome dirt track that leads up to it without too much of a mishap .. at least the bikes stayed upright Nice view eh? It wasn't too long before we found another bike .. Then we also found a Shadow!! BDRGonzo was waiting for us at the other carpark .. (Who knew there were two?) and made his way round to greet us in typical Shadow Riders fashion... Parking with us We did manage to get one more to play over in this carpark for a while .. then Cas wussed out and moved his baby to the other one in the shade. Cray was convinced that the tree he parked beside would eventually give him the coveted shade .. it almost did. The rest of the crew was under the tree. Really do ya want me to tell you whose bike is whose? Seriously do you expect me to remember all those names ?!? Not gonna happen sorry, you'll just have to look at the pretty pictures and make it up yourselves Was starting to warm up by now so we all moved inside. Here's some people. And some more. And some of them from a different angle. This was only Maureen's second longish bike ride with her husband .. you can tell she's loving it eh Those people in the background weren't leaving cause of our boistrousness honestly. The Pipeclay Pumphouse was a great place to eat, the food was great, even if it was a bit hard to interpret from the menu at first glance, and the service was awesome. I'd have to recommend them as a great bike freindly place to visit. One very proud SRA flag owner (can you guess who it is?) Nooo dont take my flag!! And that's pretty well it for photos from me .. I didn't drag out the camera again after lunch but Casper did so expect more from him. It was a hot ride home, but worth it for a great day out meeting some fantastic people. Oh yeah there was the museum .. I forgot .. umm well I wanted to try to beat the heat (didn't work) so didn't bother going into the museum. But a few of the others did so hopefully they will tell you all about it

What a great day at Robert Stein Vineyard. Great food, fantastic company and a bunch of bikes both old and new. Maybe we could do this or something similar on a regular basis? Cheers Swanie
