Thanks for coming along Swanie It was great to finally meet you. Yep we should do it more often, the AGM is next month so we might skip a Nsw meet for then and start planning our next one when we all get home and relaxed

What a great day at Robert Stein Vineyard. Great food, fantastic company and a bunch of bikes both old and new. Maybe we could do this or something similar on a regular basis? Cheers Swanie Ill be driving if we do.

Think a discussion should be had as to how far is too far for a day trip. If this was an overnighter it would have been a nicer trip home.
IMHO 800 km round trip is to far in one day.

My trip was only 550kms and I would agree. In fact I nearly did it that way. Don't take it to heart if you thought it was a long ride, it was. My butt was numb for 2 days.

Wendy as BDR said it is a long ride for everyone! I agree with you that there should be solutions for this, an overnighter is fine if that's good for you then do it. Suggest it. I think that we should also move around the destinations, it was pretty close for me this time so next time we should make it closer for someone else. That's why when I post it up to start with I ask for suggestions first. Guys start thinking of somewhere for next time and we'll work it all out for around May

Yea over nighters if you are doing more than 300kms I say we get tried & that gets hairy.... PLUS leaves time for more pics etc & get a GROUP ride in too... & agree move to different places... but still need to have a few places to meet roughly same time every yr if possible
