I have three stickers on my new VT400. Went to Woolies and Crazy Clarks today to stock up on all good stuff to remove them. Got orange power goop remover, wd40, spray and shine, and about 4 different polishes. Hey, they were cheap! I got two off and removed the remaining goop no problem. But there's the third one. The HISS sticker. Man, it's tough. I think they welded it on! The others let me get under an edge and pull the sticker off gradually. This one just chips away the mm of space my nail could get under. No lip. I've soaked it in all sorts of things. No go. Any ideas? I'd keep chipping at it with my nails but I don't want to mark the tank.

Ok. Sticker is off. Must have needed to soak some more. But the residue underneath isn't budging. It's very hard.
Hair dryer?

I just used the hair dryer and some orange power to get all of mine off .. mind you mine was a brand new bike and I took them off within days of getting her .. maybe if they have been on there a bit longer they are tougher .. definately try the hair dryer .. or even a hot day in the sun

I had a wise Shadow (actually I think it was three - Steve, Ray and MRC when I first met them) once suggest the hair dryer to me for the removal of stickers......problem for me was and still is I refuse to own one and for those who know me you will totally understand lol. Lucky I lived with someone at the time who owned a hair dryer lol.

May have been a little over the top, but the residual left under the HISS sticker was as hard as rock. I actually used a butane jet lighter and that worked like a charm. I was very careful with it though.

Fuel up, check air pressure, then wheel into the men's room to use the warm air hand dryer to remove the stickers. Now that's how you get the most out of a 7-11.
