ok, this is what ive experienced with riding with sra members on some very long trips,
rocking up at a servo, meeting someone for the first time, and youre going to ride with them for a week. and others you pick up along the way, we love riding we love adventure, what a good way to start,
no politics, just open road, sharing the same scenic routes, experiencing the same near misses, getting soaked together, stopping at a café for 30 minutes and learning a little more as to who you are riding with.
having a laugh, eg poor Derek got bad windburn, needed a mask or balaclava, there was a hardware store where we pulled up, a suggestion was to ask if they sold balaclavas, he got a nervous look from the sales assistant, we didn't realize we were all leather clad, and battle worn from riding all day. no they didn't sell them, but we had a laugh. after.
there are members here that put a lot of time into supporting people and riders of all levels age and abilities. they know who they are and I thank then for their ongoing support.
its not confined to individual states, its a national friendship. I have made friends for life, some have moved on , they still and always will remain friends, yeah we may change what we ride later on. but
this is a good place for people to get support for their Honda shadows.
